KinderCaminata Reflections – April 28, 2017

Child Development  and Educational Studies students set up teaching and learning experiences for the children attending KinderCaminata.  This  event focused on the celebration of Cesar Chavez’ birthday as well as introducing the Kindergarteners to the college experience.   The CDES area focused on the career of teaching.  The college students told the children about their career choice to be a teacher.  Children wore name tags expressing their aspirations for their future career. Experiences were: “Thinking with a Line”, “Clay and Sculpture” and “Sculpting with Wire”.  Thank you to all the students that participated and to Professor Pavelek for designing, organizing and setting up!  Thanks to Jenn for filling in where ever needed!   Enjoy the photos.  Professor Pappas

BTW – Excellent job!!! Coordinator Karen and a huge thanks to Professor Diana Kyle for writing the KinderCaminata Manual.
